HP Expands Liquid Cooling Availability Inside Z820 Workstations

HP Z820

Asetek® today announced that HP has expanded the availability of Asetek liquid cooling to include single processor Z820 workstations. Previously only available in dual CPU configurations, the more affordable single CPU Z820 with Asetek’s integrated sealed loop liquid cooling provides reduced system noise and increased productivity. The design win is expected to translate into an 8-10% increase in Asetek’s workstation business and is a key element in the company’s goal to increase its overall desktop division revenue by 10% in 2013.

Asetek to Install Liquid Cooling at World’s Most Energy Efficient Data Center

Asetek RackCDU™: Hot Water Liquid Cooling for Data Centers

Asetek® today announced that the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) will install Asetek’s RackCDU™ direct-to-chip “hot water” liquid-cooling system as a retrofit to NREL’s Skynet HPC cluster. As part of this liquid-cooling retrofit, the cluster will be relocated into the new data center at the Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) in Golden, CO, which is designed to be the most energy efficient data center in the world, with a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.06.

Asetek Opens Demonstration Room For Showcasing Its Data Center Liquid Cooling Solutions

Asetek Demo RoomAsetek® today announced that it has built a demonstration room in its San Jose, CA office to showcase the company’s RackCDU™, ISAC™, and internal loop liquid cooling solutions for servers and data centers. The room features a state-of-the-art Asetek RackCDU-cooled HPC cluster. The fully populated rack consumes 37kW of power at full load. The heat from the direct-to-chip and memory coolers is absorbed into liquid and rejected through the RackCDU connected directly to a dry cooler installed on the roof.
