VP Global Operations

• David Garcia is a technology industry veteran with a comprehensive background supporting the electronics ecosystem from design through manufacturing and fulfillment.  Most recently David was Vice President of worldwide sales, business development, field engineering, and technical marketing for a start-up division within flash memory supplier SPANSION, where he was chartered to develop and market EcoRAM™, a high-density, solid-state, green server memory technology, which he grew to over $100M in revenue.

David joined SPANSION during its spin-out from AMD, where for 4 years he served as Vice President of America’s field operations, a team that included over 220 sales, marketing, and engineering professionals and a revenue line of $1B.  Prior to AMD and Spansion, David spent several years in the EMS industry as Vice President of Americas Operations at FLEXTRONICS and Vice President of worldwide sales, marketing, and program management at MCMS, the former manufacturing services division of MICRON TECHNOLOGY, now part of PLEXUS.   David honed core expertise in recruiting and retaining top talent at global levels while a partner at KORN/FERRY INTERNATIONAL, the world’s largest executive search firm, where he headed the company’s manufacturing services practice and placed many top level operating executives at the world’s leading EMS companies. 

David is adept at managing international operations having lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.  While overseas he held various director roles at mass storage manufacturers, SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY and WESTERN DIGITAL.  David spent his early career at HEWLETT-PACKARD, where as product marketing manager, he led the launches of the Vectra and Touchscreen PCs.  David holds a BSEE degree from the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
