Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation technology uses numerical methods and algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the millions of calculations required to simulate the interaction of fluids and gases with the complex surfaces used in engineering.

Asetek uses the CFD simulation tools; Icepak, Fluent, and CFdesign to optimize pressure loss and heat transfer on both component and system level. Besides optimization and validation of our own products, it is also used for designing total system solutions and research on the right composition of materials regarding design, performance, quality and cost.   

By using CFD we design and predict performance and results of different thermal management setups and configurations before entering the prototype stage.
