September 18th through the 20th, Asetek took part in the 10th Intel Developer Forum at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Our participation included an invited speaking engagement for a technology session as well as a booth at the showcase. 

 

Invited Speaker at Intel Developers Forum
“Take Extreme Gaming to the next level with Intel Gaming Platforms”

Asetek was invited to participate in the technology section, “Take Extreme Gaming to the next level with Intel Gaming Platforms” by Intel.  The session focused on overclocking in gaming PCs and included Kingston Memory as well as Asetek.  During the session, Asetek presented details on the first ever CPU and GPU integrated solution as well as key benefits to liquid versus air cooling.  Intel presented how the overclocking features offered in the new Intel platforms benefit the gaming experience.  They also provided insight into selecting the right hardware for optimal performance as well as how to properly measure performance and highlighted their new benchmarking tools which enable performance tweaking of the system.

Asetek showcased the now famous HP Blackbird 002 Gaming PC which features Asetek’s first ever OEM adopted CPU and GPU integrated liquid cooling solution. The Asetek booth was well visited and received great feedback from the press and the industry.

Asetek VapoChill is cooling upcoming Intel platforms

In a closed door session for upcoming Intel platforms the Skulltrail machine was showcased. The Skulltrail was equipped with dual 3.4GHz quad-core processors and featured a pair of Asetek VapoChill vapor phase-change coolers for the processors. Thanks to the VapoChill the processors were overclocked by simple multiplier increase to 4.0GHz speed.
