"All in all Asetek has managed to develop an absolutely convincing package. Especially the nice little details show that Asetek really concentrated on the requirements of the OEM market during the development." |
"Actually, the watercooling solution has nothing to do with traditional retail coolers. In detail, especially the modular structure, the solid built quality and the simple mounting of the solution are convincing. Moreover, the performance of the CPU cooler is much better compared to the standard boxed cooler. However, the GPU watercooler can't keep up with that sort of performance - a tribute to the small pump and the resulting coldplate design."
"So is this solution the breakthrough for watercooling in the OEM market? Well, this mainly depends on the pricing. If it is available for a reasonably low price it should be a serious alternative compared to traditional aircooling, especially when the manufacturer intends to use an overclocked processor. Anyway Asetek already found an important partner with Hewlett Packard, who uses the solution in its Blackbird systems."
