Valdemar Eriksen on the Podium in the GTWCE Endurance Cup

This weekend W Racing Team, featuring Asetek SimSports race driver Valdemar Eriksen, took the podium in Barcelona after finishing 3rd place at the GTWCE Endurance Cup.

W Racing Team, known as Team WRT, is a professional autosport racing team, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Baudour, Belgium

It marks the fifth title for WRT this season in the GT World Challenge Europe and was won after a closely-fought 3-hour race.

Adding more glory to the weekend’s performance, racers Valdemar Eriksen, Frank Bird and Ryuichiro Tomita also took 2nd place at the podium in the Silver Cup.

“I am really happy to finish off the season like that. It was a very long stint for me, as Frank did a very good job but had a puncture, so he pitted earlier” Valdemar Eriksen says.

“I was 80 minutes at the wheel, going around trying to keep tyres alive, which I think I did quite well, then Ryu finished the job and we took second. It’s been a very good season, I learnt a lot and hope to be stronger next year.”

Valdemar Eriksen has been an integral part of the product testing and development at Asetek SimSports.

Ever since we first started designing our Invicta pedals, Valdemar has been sharing his insights with our engineers to make sure that the pedals live up to a level of quality that can simulate real-world racing.
