Developing authentic pedals for sim racing – explaining the engineering behind

Kim Henriksen, mechanical engineer at Asetek, talks about some of the important aspects in designing and developing high-end pedals for sim racing.

Pedals for sim racing must work for all race types, such as F1, GT, and drifting. Therefore, we’re focused on designing pedals, where it’s possible to adjust them according to your race type preference. Kim explains that each type of pedal has its own ‘sweet spot’.

Multiple scenarios have been tested to find the ‘sweet spot’ for each kind of pedal so that you can adjust your pedals according to your race type and preferences.

See more about our upcoming Invicta pedals and the design philosophy behind them.
