Initium Starter Settings

Hi everyone, with this quick guide we will get you up and running with your new Initium bundle right away, with some quick settings for the most popular games on the market right now.

Assetto Corsa Settings

Steering range – 1080 degrees. (Make sure this matches the in-game setting)

For the Bumpstop Hardness, we are leaving that at medium.

Bumpstop range – 0 degrees

High Frequency limit – No Limit

Damping – 0%

Friction – 12% The addition of Friction here helps give the cars more weight to them, making it easier to understand what the car is doing in your hands.
Inertia – 0%

Corner Force Assist – 0%

Overall Force:

Initium – 5nm
Initium+– 8nm

Torque Behavior Prediction – Off

Torque Acceleration Limit: 2.5nm/ms

Anti-Oscilation – 0 to 10%
You can adjust this setting if you feel like the steering wheel is too aggressive when driving in a straight line. This is also car dependant.

Asetto Corsa In-Game Settings

These gain numbers will match both 5nm and 8nm version:

GT3 – 60-70% gain

Road/Classic cars – 65-75% gain

F1 – 60%

The reason for lower numbers in high downforce cars, are that FFB spikes will increase risk of FFB clipping.

If you run into constant clipping (Where the bar is fully red for more than a second) then reduce the FFB gain.

Degrees: 1080

Gamma: 1.0

Scale: 100%

Auto-adjust scale to match cars steer lock: Off

Filter: 0%

Speed sensitivity: 0%

Filter: 0%: You can increase this, yet the wheelbases already generate a smooth feeling.

Minimum Force: 0%

Kerb effect: 8% – some kerbs doesn’t generate enough Force Feedback, so this setting can help increase this. Keep it under 10 %, as any setting more than this can be too much.

Road effect: 0% – Leave it off, as it can generate an unrealistic feeling.

Slip effect: 18% – Even though the game is excellent at telling you if you are losing grip, this setting can increase the vibration level when losing grip, which works quite well.

ABS effect: 8% – Adds vibrations when ABS kicks in.

Enhanced understeer effect: Off

Soft Lock: Off

Skip FFB Steps: 0

Le Mans Ultimate Settings

Steering range – 900 degrees
The game has auto locking for each car built in, so setting this to 900 will make sure that it matches every car.

Bumpstop hardness – Medium

Bumpstop range – 0 degrees

High Frequency Limit – No Limit

Damping – 10%
LMU is still a very high detailed games, so keeping a damping level on 10% helps still deliver the detail we want to give, but also so it doesn’t become too much.

Friction:
Initium+ – 15%
Initium – 20%
The addition of Friction here helps give the cars more weight to them, making it easier to understand what the car is doing in your hands.

Inertia – 0%

Cornering Force Assist – 0%

Overall Force:
Initium+ – 8nm
Initium – 5nm

Torque Behavior Prediction – Off

Torque Acceleration Limit – 2.5 Nm/ms

Invert Force Feedback – Enabled
(This setting is very important)

Force Feedback strength:
GT3 – 65-75%
LMDh – 60-70%

The reason for lower numbers in high downforce cars, are that FFB spikes  will increase risk of FFB clipping.

If you run into constant clipping (Where the bar is fully red for more than a second) then reduce the FFB gain.

Force Feedback Smoothing – 1

Minimum Steering Torque – 0%
Collision Strength – 75%

Steering Torque Sensitivity – 100%

iRacing Settings

Damping is set to 25% to also help against oscillation in iRacing, while still delivering great detail.

Friction – 0%

Inertia – 0%

Cornering Force Assist – 0%

Overall Force:
Intitium+ – 8nm
Initium – 5nm
