Manual Update of Steering Wheel
If you are experiencing any issues with your steering wheel, it is always a good start to do a manual firmware update. This guide will help you manually updating your steering wheel, to make sure it has the latest version.
Prerequisites:
You must have installed the latest version of RaceHub™, to ensure the latest drivers are installed.
- Turn off the wheelbase and disconnect the steering wheel from the wheelbase.
- Open RaceHub™, if not already running.
- Turn on the wheelbase.
- Hold down the two uppermost buttons on the steering wheel (see picture below).
- While holding the two buttons, install the steering wheel onto the wheelbase.
- A dialog will pop up in RaceHub™, informing you that the steering wheel has been detected in update mode.
- Press “Update Steering Wheel”.
- Wait for the update to finish.
The pedals now have the latest firmware version, and the automatic update notification should now work for future updates.

Steering wheel malfunction in Racehub
If the steering wheel cannot be seen in Racehub but does light up as intended when connected to a powered-on wheelbase, the issue may be caused by corrupted files for the steering wheel.
Please go through the below steps in order to delete corrupted files:
- Ensure the wheelbase is turned OFF
- Close Racehub, if open
- Open a folder on your PC or use the windows command short cut button
- Type: %appdata%
- Find and tap into the Asetek SimSports folder and go to the Racehub folder
- Find and tap into the folder: Base profiles
- Find and tap into the folder: Steering wheel – Delete all the files
- Find and tap into the folder: Display (if you have a wheel with display) – Delete all the files
- Empty the “Recycle Bin” on your PC
- Start Racehub.
- Turn ON your wheelbase
- Connect your wheel
When connecting the wheel, the software will recreate the files.

Rotary switches not assigning correctly in game
If the rotary switches on your steering wheel does not register correctly in your game, it is most likely because they are set up incorrectly in RaceHub.
- Go to the “Button Configuration” menu in the “Steering Wheel” menu in RaceHub.
- Select one or more of the rotary switches on the steering wheel.
- Under “Input Mode” change the setting to either “Position Based” or “Incremental” depending on your needs and preference.
- Position Based = Each position is its own unique input.
- Incremental = Right is one input, Left is another input.
Steering wheel turns off
If your steering wheel turns off shortly after being installed on the wheelbase/being turned on, it can be due to missing USB connection or damaged pins on the wheelbase QR. Spare PCBAs can be ordered from here.
You can find a “How-To” video regarding the replacement here.
Clutch paddles does not work on my La Prima steering wheel
The Clutch Paddles and Magnetic Input paddles are only compatible with the Asetek Forte wheels.
