Hi everyone, with this quick guide we will get you up and running with your new Initium bundle right away, with some quick settings for the most popular games on the market right now.
Steering range – 1080 degrees. (Make sure this matches the in-game setting)Â
For the Bumpstop Hardness, we are leaving that at medium.
Bumpstop range – 0 degrees
High Frequency limit – No Limit Â
Damping – 0% Â
Friction – 12% The addition of Friction here helps give the cars more weight to them, making it easier to understand what the car is doing in your hands. Inertia – 0%Â
Corner Force Assist – 0% Â
Overall Force: Initium – 5nm Initium+– 8nm Â
Torque Behavior Prediction – Off Â
Torque Acceleration Limit: 2.5nm/ms Â
Anti-Oscilation – 0 to 10% You can adjust this setting if you feel like the steering wheel is too aggressive when driving in a straight line. This is also car dependant.
These gain numbers will match both 5nm and 8nm version:Â Â
GT3 – 60-70% gainÂ
Road/Classic cars – 65-75% gainÂ
F1 – 60%Â
The reason for lower numbers in high downforce cars, are that FFB spikes will increase risk of FFB clipping.
If you run into constant clipping (Where the bar is fully red for more than a second) then reduce the FFB gain.
Degrees: 1080Â
Gamma: 1.0Â
Scale: 100%Â
Auto-adjust scale to match cars steer lock: OffÂ
Filter: 0%Â
Speed sensitivity: 0%Â
Filter: 0%: You can increase this, yet the wheelbases already generate a smooth feeling. Â
Minimum Force: 0%Â Â
Kerb effect: 8% – some kerbs doesn’t generate enough Force Feedback, so this setting can help increase this. Keep it under 10 %, as any setting more than this can be too much.Â
Road effect: 0% – Leave it off, as it can generate an unrealistic feeling. Â
Slip effect: 18% – Even though the game is excellent at telling you if you are losing grip, this setting can increase the vibration level when losing grip, which works quite well. Â
ABS effect: 8% – Adds vibrations when ABS kicks in. Â
Enhanced understeer effect: OffÂ
Soft Lock: Off
Skip FFB Steps: 0Â
Steering range – 900 degrees The game has auto locking for each car built in, so setting this to 900 will make sure that it matches every car.Â
Bumpstop hardness – Medium  Â
Bumpstop range – 0 degreesÂ
High Frequency Limit – No Limit
Damping – 10% LMU is still a very high detailed games, so keeping a damping level on 10% helps still deliver the detail we want to give, but also so it doesn’t become too much.Â
Friction: Initium+ – 15% Initium – 20% The addition of Friction here helps give the cars more weight to them, making it easier to understand what the car is doing in your hands.Â
Inertia – 0%Â
Cornering Force Assist – 0%Â
Overall Force: Initium+ – 8nm Initium – 5nmÂ
Torque Behavior Prediction – OffÂ
Torque Acceleration Limit – 2.5 Nm/msÂ
Anti-Oscillation – 0%
For Steering range, make sure to go into calibrate menu, under wheel and pedals, and set it to 900 (to match Racehub) The rest of the settings are under Force Feedback menu.
Force Feedback Effects – EnabledÂ
Invert Force Feedback – Enabled (This setting is very important)Â
Force Feedback strength: GT3 – 65-75% LMDh – 60-70%
If you run into constant clipping (Where the bar is fully red for more than a second) then reduce the FFB gain.Â
Force Feedback Smoothing – 1Â
Minimum Steering Torque – 0% Collision Strength – 75%Â
Steering Torque Sensitivity – 100%Â
Steering range – 1080 degrees The gamr has auto locking for each car built in, so setting this to 900 will make sure that it matches every car.Â
High Frequency Limit – No LimitÂ
Damping – 25% Damping is set to 25% to also help against oscillation in iRacing, while still delivering great detail.Â
Friction – 0%Â
Overall Force: Intitium+ – 8nm Initium – 5nmÂ
Torque Behavior prediction – OffÂ
Anti-Oscillation – 15%
Enable Force Feedback – EnabledÂ
Use Linear mode – EnabledÂ
Reduce Force when parked – EnabledÂ
Strength:Â Â
T – 8.0-10.5Â
DTP – 8.0-10Â
Formel – 6.0-7.5Â
MX5 & AE86 – 13.0-16.5Â
This is to provide an idea on where the strength lies between car classes, make sure you don’t experience constant clipping, which you can see on your performance HUD in game, where it says F.
If you run into constant clipping (Where its fully red for more than a second) then reduce the FFB strength.Â
Wheel Force: Initium+ – 8nm Initium – 5nmÂ
Intensity: 40% Smoothing – 0%Â
Damping – 0%Â
Min Force – 0%
