Asetek Racing at SimRacing Expo: what you missed
Asetek Racing unveils the high-value GT Nova steering wheel and a new 5-year warranty
In case you were not in Frankfurt today, or missed the SimRacing Expo live stream, here is a short recap of what Asetek Founder and CEO André Sloth Eriksen announced on the SimRacing Expo stage.
A season of launches
André opened with a look at what Asetek Racing has delivered this fall and what comes next:
- Virtual Button Box, launched August 18: a free firmware update that turns the touchscreen on the Forte Formula Pro and Invicta steering wheels into a fully customizable button box, set up in RaceHub. Watch the introduction here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN5BwSUDV8E
- Dual Mode Shifter and Load Cell Handbrake, launched October 6. Find all information and availability here: https://www.asetek.com/simsports/landing/handbrake-shifter/
- DD10 wheelbase, launching October 27 at 11:00 CET, priced at $499 excl. VAT and €499 incl. 19% VAT. DD10 delivers 10 Nm of direct drive GripSense Force Feedback, upgradeable to 14 Nm. It supports every Asetek Racing steering wheel and works with third-party brands through the Asetek Racing Quick Release system. DD10 is Xbox compatible and ready for all future Xbox compatible Asetek Racing steering wheels. Read more here: https://www.asetek.com/simsports/landing/dd10-wheelbase/
The big reveal: GT Nova
André then unveiled GT Nova, an all-new GT steering wheel launching in March 2027. GT anchors the wheel in endurance and GT racing, where precision, control and comfort over long sessions matter most. Nova, “new star”, marks a clear step forward in design, technology and perceived quality without leaving Asetek’s core DNA behind. GT Nova is not an incremental update but a modern interpretation of the GT concept at a very competitive price point: $299.99 excl. VAT and €299.99 incl. 19% VAT.
New features include:
- RaceView OLED display: a 1.3″ white OLED screen (128×64 px) that shows live telemetry such as gear and speed, visualizes MultiLink settings and gives direct access to RaceHub Link.
- MultiLink: a single rotary switch changes what the surrounding controls do. Set the red rotary to ABS, traction control, brake balance, differential or volume, and the blue encoder adjusts that setting. Two physical controls become 24 inputs.
- RaceHub Link: for the first time, RaceHub lives directly on the steering wheel. Through the RaceView OLED display, sim racers can adjust wheelbase, pedal and steering wheel settings or switch presets on the fly, without leaving the game or opening RaceHub on Windows. RaceHub Link is exclusive to the Asetek Racing ecosystem and will also be released for the Forte Formula Pro and Invicta steering wheels.
