iRacing: RaceHub™ and Game Setup

Asetek Racing™

iRacing is a long-favored sim by professional and semi-professional esports drivers, running on laser-scanned tracks and official multiclass series. This guide covers the recommended Asetek force feedback settings — including class-specific presets for oval, road, dirt, and formula cars — telemetry setup for the LED and RaceView features, and control assignment in iRacing.

  3. Click the three dots next to “Preset”.
  4. Click “Import as new”.
  5. Find the iRacing preset for your wheelbase in the folder you just downloaded. Note that for iRacing there are different presets for different classes, such as oval, Dirt, Formula and GT.
  6. Click “Save to wheelbase”.

In-Game Settings

After setting up the FFB settings in RaceHub, you now need to set up the following settings in the in-game FFB settings menu.

  1. Launch iRacing and start a test session.
  2. Go into the “Settings” menum, and go to the “Haptics and FFB” tab.
  3. Here, insert the values below, for the class you wish to race.
  4. Then, go on track and drive for a lap or two.
  5. Open the Black Box and go to the “Graphics Adjustments” page.
  6. Click the button that says “Auto” next to the “FFB Strength” setting.
  7. If some fine-tuning is needed, use the arrows to raise or lower the strength.

While these presets and settings are a great starting point, adjusting and tweaking the settings to your personal preference can make a big difference and is exactly what RaceHub is for.

Telemetry for RaceHub LED and RaceView features

This part of the guide will set up RaceHub to correctly receive data from your game and enable FFB as well as the LED features, as well as RaceView on the Invicta and Forte formula Pro wheels. It is recommended that you start the game and close it again before continuing.

  1. Open RaceHub.
  2. Go to “Settings” -> “Game Setup” and find iRacing on the list.
  3. Check if a green check mark is to the right of the game name.
  4. We recommend enabling the “360 Hz” feature here as well, but it is optional.

Now RaceHub will receive the game data to display the LED and RaceView features. Remember to go to the “LED” and “Display” menus in RaceHub to set up the specific features.

Setting up your controls

Now, all you need to do is assign your controls in-game. As this is a personal preference, we won’t go too much into detail here, except for how it is done.

  1. Launch iRacing and enter a test session.
  2. Click “Settings” on the top right.

Here you will find a setup option for your steering, pedals and gearbox. Furthermore, you will find multiple tabs like “Driving” and “Keybinds”. Simply go through each setup option and tab and set them up one by one.

  1. For the setup of steering, pedals and gearbox, simply follow the instructions in screen.
  2. For additional controls, click the control you want to set up.
  3. Use the input you wish to assign (push the pedal/click the button).

Now that you have set up the force feedback, enabled the telemetry, and assigned your controls, you are ready to hit the track. Happy racing!
