Trail Braking and Sim Racing – Why a Hard Brake Pedal is Essential

In this video, André Eriksen (CEO of Asetek) gives you a quick insight into trail braking. With his many years of experience from real-world motorsports, André explains why a hard brake pedal is essential when racing.

If the brake pedal is soft, you’ll not be able to use your muscle memory when braking and trail braking. You’ll have to remember the exact position of your foot, which is more challenging to replicate.

Mastering the trail braking technique can help you save a couple of milliseconds per lap. If you add that up after a long race, it could be the difference between the podium or the pit.
